Meet Team Menogyn

Executive Director - Meghan Cosgrove (she/her)

Meghan Cosgrove

My name is Meghan Cosgrove and I have served as the executive director of Menogyn since 2017. Prior to joining the Menogyn community, I worked in planned giving for Y of the North, as executive director of Camp Warren for nine years and as an educator at the Hyde School in Bath, Maine. A firm believer in the power of a small group wilderness experience, I work tirelessly to ensure that all who want to join a Menogyn adventure have that opportunity. This could be a lodge-based family weekend or a 50-day trip in Arctic. Regardless of length or destination, my hope is that we can light a spark that creates a life-time of involvement with wild places. When not at camp, I enjoy spending time canoeing, backpacking, traveling and skiing (Nordic and alpine). I hold a BA from Bowdoin College and an MA in Education from the University of St. Thomas.

Summer Programs - Forrest Ahrens (he/him)

Forrest Ahrens

My name is Forrest Ahrens and I'm proud to be the Summer Program Director at Camp Menogyn. I'm a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in mechanical engineering and am inspired by how the natural world can influence our understanding of science. I've guided trips for Menogyn and other organizations for the last five years (culminating with a Hommes du Nord trip in 2022) and am dedicated to providing equitable access to wilderness experiences for people of all backgrounds. I grew up attending family and overnight camp at Menogyn, so I have a deep connection to the community and am dedicated to adapting our programming to the needs of our current and future campers. You can reach me at 763-230-9310 or via email at the link below.

Hello everyone! My name is Sarah Bransford and I focus on the fall, winter, spring program at Camp Menogyn! I absolutely love being a part of the community of staff, campers, and families we serve. I have a background and passion in environmental education. I love getting people outdoors and connecting them with the natural world. I worked as a seasonal staff at Menogyn for five years before starting in my current role as Program Director in fall 2021. My favorite outdoor activities are hiking, cross country skiing, canoeing, and star gazing! One big goal of mine is to support new campers and families in our year-round programming. I am committed to increasing opportunity and access to our Menogyn programs. I hope to see you all around camp!

Business Administrative Coordinator - Maureen (Mo) Martin (she/her)

Maureen (Mo) Martin

My name is Maureen (Mo) Martin and I support Menogyn and Widjiwagan as the Business Administrative Coordinator from St. Paul. I am passionate about getting youth on wilderness experiences and have experienced the magic firsthand starting as a Menogyn camper in 1997 and working on the summer and full-time staff in the 2000s. I hold a BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Education from the University of Minnesota. When not tackling spreadsheets and databases for wilderness camps, I can be found wrangling my kids, cross country skiing, or planning our next family BWCA trip.
