The Fall Winter Spring season at Camp du Nord started in a big way over Labor Day Weekend with our fifth annual Fest du Nord music festival weekend. Amazing musicians like the Okee Dokee Brothers, Jeremy Messersmith, Koo Koo Kanga Roo, Adam Levy, John Munson, and so many more put on a big-city caliber show right in the middle of Thor’s field. Thanks to all the musicians, sponsors, campers, and Ely-ites who came out in to enjoy the music.
But that’s not all! September was probably the busiest, and most beautiful time to be up at camp. Since summer camp ended, we have hosted not one, but two weddings, a men’s conference, a youth service group, and a number of individual cabin reservations. The fall colors peaked just in time for the Fall Women’s Retreat.
October has been equally busy, we have already hosted a fall work weekend, a yoga group, a third wedding, and Autumn Adventures family camp weekend. We will close-out our fall season with the Woodcutting group, whose volunteers refill all the camp woodsheds in anticipation of the cozy winter campfires to come.
