Teen Specialty Camps

Developing leadership qualities and abilities are important life-long ingredients. Our leadership camps develop the whole person — spirit, mind, and body — through a variety of service projects, hands-on activities, and team building exercises.

Teen Archery Camp

Entering grades 6 – 8 in fall, 2017

Campers discover the science behind drawing and releasing the bow while fine tuning their archery skills. Instructors show campers the proper grip, stance and aim alignment. Equipment will be provided.

Teen Fishing Camp

Entering grades 6 – 9 in fall, 2017

Gone Fishin’! You will be out and about each day on our four lakes for shoreline and canoe fishing fun using the catch and release method. A Thursday overnight adventure on one of our lakes is the highlight of your week. Bring your own pole and tackle or we can provide them for you.

Teen Artist Camp

Entering grades 6 – 8 in fall, 2017

Self-expression comes to life in this creative, multi-faceted art camp! A camper’s imagination becomes the window of discovery as they create original art with watercolors, sculpting, photography, and other art forms. They’ll learn about composition, light, depth, dimension, contrasting, blending and other aspects of art.

Teen Day and Overnight Camp

Entering grades 6 – 9 in fall, 2017

Get the best of both camp worlds: an active day camp schedule plus one exclusive overnight at camp! This program develops valuable life skills such as open communication, team building, cooperation and conflict resolution. Campers will do a variety of activities including recreational lake swimming, canoeing, climbing, trail skills, environmental education and much more. Days are filled with group-scheduled camp activities, too. All adding up to an exciting two week program designed especially for teens. Overnight at camp will occur second Thursday of program.

Entering grades 7 – 9 in fall, 2017

Teens rise to the challenge of Leaders-in-Training Camp and discover their leadership qualities. Participants will learn and develop camp skills needed to lead camper activities, including personal development through confidence building and responsibility management, as well as group development through activity planning and event organization. They’ll have opportunities to shadow counselors of younger campers and assist staff in their camp activities. There will also be plenty of time to hang out with friends – new and old. Come experience camp from a whole new perspective!
