Known as the Zumba® “pool party,” Aqua Zumba gives new meaning to the idea of an invigorating workout. This class takes place in our heated indoor pools. Splashing, stretching, twisting, even shouting, laughing, hooting and hollering are often heard during an Aqua Zumba shallow water class. Integrating the Zumba formula and philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines, Aqua Zumba blends it all together into a safe, challenging, water-based workout that’s cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief.

  • Level: All
  • Drop-in class
  • No registration necessary
  • Kids ages 10 – 14 may attend with a parent or guardian
  • Teens age 15+ may attend unaccompanied by an adult
  • Swimming skills are not required
  • See your doctor first to get clearance for water exercises

A Typical Class

Classes vary each week. Your instructor will incorporate several world dance styles such as merengue, salsa, reggaeton, mambo, rumba, flamenco, calypso and salsa into the water fitness class. Through dance, you get a warm-up, great cardio workout and warm down in the pool.

Attire and What to Bring

  • Come to class dressed and ready for the pool
  • Proper swim attire is required (swim suit), no basketball shorts, street clothes, etc.
  • Water shoes (encouraged)
  • Towel, water bottle, aqua jacket (optional)
