Our programs for kids and teens promote wellness grounded in the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.


Kids learn teamwork and build skills through YMCA youth sports.

School Age Care

Our partnerships with local school districts offer before- and after-school care and school-release day options for kids in kindergarten through sixth grade at dozens of locations across the Twin Cities.

Summer Programs

For the summer, children in preschool through eighth grade can enjoy a variety of enrichment programs.

Day Camp Kici Yapi

Traditional day camp is located on 80-acre site in Prior Lake. Free busing from Bloomington, Edina, Eden Prairie, Minneapolis, Prior Lake, Richfield and Shakopee.

Arts and humanities classes

Encourage expression in creativity with enrichment classes for kids. These classes are only offered during select times throughout the year. Contact Member Services at 952-300-3656 for more info.

Birthday parties

We have everything you need for a hassle-free birthday party at the Y. Choose from two- and three-hour options that include fun and age-appropriate activities for kids.

Parents night out

Enjoy an evening out and we’ll take care of your children with engaging activities at the Y. Contact Member Services at 952-300-3656 for fees and upcoming dates. Early bird registration is due one week before the event.

Workout Child Care

When you come to work out at the Y, consider bringing your children along for the fun that awaits them at Kids Stuff, the Y’s child care program. Children ages six weeks to 10 years can participate in age-appropriate activities in a safe environment—free for members. Reservations aren’t required, and your child can enjoy Kids Stuff for up to two hours a day while you are in the building.

Homeschool gym and swim

Kids and teens ages five to 15 can participate in gym-only or gym/swim combo classes. Classes include gym games, teamwork skills and basic swimming techniques. These classes are only offered during select times throughout the year.

Youth In Government

Kids in grades 7-12 can meet new people, make lasting friendships and have powerful conversations on important issues with programs like Model Assembly and Model United Nations.
