Our programs for kids and teens promote wellness grounded in the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.


Kids learn teamwork and build skills through YMCA youth sports.

Full-day Child Care

Eight metro Early Childhood Learning Centers provide full-day, year-round daycare options for children ages six weeks to five years.

School Age Care

Our partnerships with local school districts offer before- and after-school care and school-release day options for kids in kindergarten through sixth grade at dozens of locations across the Twin Cities.

Summer Programs

For the summer, children in preschool through eighth grade can enjoy a variety of enrichment programs.

Day Camp DayCroix

Traditional day camp is located on 400 acre site overlooking Lake St. Croix. Bussing available from the following cities: Bayport, Eastside Y, Lakeland, Midway Y, Stillwater, St. Paul and Woodbury.

Arts and humanities classes

Encourage expression in creativity with enrichment classes for kids. These classes are only offered during select times throughout the year. Contact Member Services at 651-771-8881 for more info.

Birthday parties

We have everything you need for a hassle-free birthday party at the Y. Choose from two- and three-hour options that include fun and age-appropriate activities for kids.

Parents night out

Enjoy an evening out and we’ll take care of your children with engaging activities at the Y. Contact Member Services at 651-771-8881 for fees and upcoming dates. Early bird registration is due one week before the event.

Workout Child Care

When you come to work out at the Y, consider bringing your children along for the fun that awaits them at Kids Stuff, the Y’s child care program. Children ages six weeks to 10 years can participate in age-appropriate activities in a safe environment—free for members. Reservations aren’t required, and your child can enjoy Kids Stuff for up to two hours a day while you are in the building.

Youth In Government

Kids in grades 7-12 can meet new people, make lasting friendships and have powerful conversations on important issues with programs like Model Assembly and Model United Nations.
