The Youth in Government experience would not be possible without the financial support of alumni, businesses, and friends of the programs. Each year, the YMCA raises funds through our annual giving programs.
At Minnesota YMCA Youth in Government, all of our programs focus on developing leaders. We promote lifelong, responsible citizenship to the youth in Minnesota.
In 2016, 378 qualifying students received financial assistance totaling over $70,000. Many of our scholarship recipients have never had an opportunity to learn about their government in such a hands-on environment. Your donation makes this life-changing experience possible for all students, regardless of their family’s income.
With your help, YIG can:
• Offer scholarships so that no one is turned away due to financial need
• Purchase essential program equipment and supplies
• Provide quality training and retreats programs for youth leadership
• Resources to execute conference planning and programming
