The Minneapolis Beacons Network is a collaborative initiative between schools, community, and families with the mission to improve academic, social, and lifework development of youth in low-income communities.
We work in tandem with the Red Cross and organize activities once a crisis is over and basic needs like food and shelter are met. The Y provides re-entry services through a local Y, making sure kids and family have access to counseling and activities to re-engage with their family and community.
