Getting to Day Camp Manitou
Please select only one bus stop for your child’s pick-up and drop-off location on the registration form; camp buses stop only at locations listed on the schedule below. Traffic congestion and road construction may slightly affect actual times but we do ask that you be on time because your delay will affect other campers.
Please note that bus sites are not supervised before pick-up or after drop-off times. Children not picked up within 5 minutes of the scheduled drop-off time by an adult will be brought back to the YMCA in New Hope.

For your camper's safety...
Whoever is picking up the camper must have a photo ID and be listed on the Authorized Pick Up section of the registration form. Please contact the camp at campmanitou@ymcanorth.org to make any changes prior to noon on the day of the change.
New for 2024! Day Camp Manitou – Now Serving the Andover YMCA
In an effort to best serve our families and communities, the Andover YMCA will be transitioning into the Day Camp Manitou service area. As Camp Manitou continues to expand its reach this change will offer more families who may have previously ended up on waitlists for Camp Heritage the opportunity to attend camp! We invite our families in the Andover area to join in the fun at Day Camp Manitou this summer! Transportation and Before and After Care at the Andover YMCA will be available for campers registered for Camp Manitou.
Please note, due to this change, transportation and before and after care will not be provided from the Andover YMCA to Day Camp Heritage.
Bus Rules | Safety First
- Campers must remain in their seats.
- Always check on and off the bus with the Bus Captain.
- Bus windows can only go down halfway.
- No eating or drinking (except water) on the bus.
- All campers must sit on a seat and face forward. (No lap sitting and no one in the aisle.)
- All body parts and belongings are to remain inside the bus at all times.
- Hands remain to yourself.
- No fighting or screaming.
- Let a counselor know if something is wrong right away.
- The emergency exits should be used only during an emergency.
- Please participate in bus games and songs.
- If a child's behavior does not meet these standards, parents will be notified; seating arrangements may be made, and if problems persist, riding privileges may be revoked.
