I’m not a Y Member or a du Nord Camper – Can I still get tickets for the shows?
Of course! This family event is open to everyone.
Where is Camp du Nord?
Camp du Nord is about 25 minutes from Ely, Minnesota. We’ll have signs pointing the way from Ely, but just in case, here are directions:
- Drive through town and turn left on 88 (or Grant McMahan Blvd.) which is just past the International Wolf Center.
- Go 2.3 miles and turn right onto 116 (or Echo Trail).
- Go 9.1 miles and turn left on North Arm Road, which is less than 1 mile past Fenske Lake Campground.
- Drive 3.7 miles down the North Arm Road. You will pass YMCA Camp Widjiwagan and the first couple entrances to Camp du Nord. Look for parking signs in the North Arm Trailhead parking lot on your left. From there, follow the signs to the concert.
Parking is limited at Camp du Nord, so please consider carpooling if you are able.
What time do doors open?
One hour before each concert.
Are chairs provided?
The shows on Saturday and Sunday will be in a large field where no chairs are provided. Please bring a blanket or lawn chairs for your family to sit on, or stand and dance your heart out through the whole show.
There will be some seating at the smaller stage for the Roe Family Singers on Friday night where you can sit or stand throughout that show.
What if it’s raining?
In the event of inclement weather, the show will be interrupted and resume when weather permits, or will be moved indoors. Tickets are sold on a rain or shine basis; no refunds will be given for delay or cancelations due to bad weather.
When is my favorite musician playing?
Check out our Lineup and Musicians page for more info.
Can I bring a camera and/or recording device?
Sure! Please share your photos with us on using #festdunord
Can I bring my own food?
Yes, you are welcome to bring snacks for the family and we recommend bringing a water bottle for the event that you can refill at camp.
Can I bring in my own alcohol?
Concert-goers are not permitted to bring alcohol into the event. Bent Paddle Beer will be available for purchase for those 21 and older. Please keep in mind that this is a family event, and modeling responsible behavior around alcohol is expected at all times.
Will there be food for sale?
You bet! Ely favorite Wilderness Wood Fire will be selling pizza and other wood-fired delights. And Wholesoul Eatery out of the Twin Cities will be selling soul-food hungry concert-goers. In addition, folks from the Camp du Nord Trading Post will be selling a few snacks and drinks. We will have water available for no charge.
What should I leave at home?
Weapons, alcohol, tobacco, e-cigarettes, and drugs are prohibited at Camp du Nord. While we do love pets, they are NOT allowed at Fest du Nord. Thank you for understanding!
