Reservations for Camp du Nord are made through a Lottery system:
- Lottery—Deadline to register is midnight on Thursday, January 26, 2017
- Lottery Day- Saturday, February 4th- you MUST answer your phone when we call between 8am-1pm to register for a site
On the registration form you will be asked to select your top three session choices and cabin preference. You are not tied to these preferences. This helps our callers begin the conversation on Lottery Day. We also ask if session date or cabin choice is most important to you—many families love coming back to the same cabin or during the same week each year.
We do our best to accommodate the preferences of all families registered for the Lottery. Please know that it is a very busy day with calls to hundreds of families, so it is important that we have your correct phone number and that your phone is near you on Lottery day.
If there are still sites open after the Lottery is complete, we open the remaining space for enrollment on a first-come, first-served basis..
How the Lottery Works
Go to our online registration system, fill in your information and follow the steps as directed.
Indicate your top three session choices and whether dates or cabin choice is more important to you. In addition, it will help us on Lottery day if you have also looked at ALL of the possible sites and weeks that would work for you in case your top three choices have already been filled.
Provide credit card information for your 50% payment that will only be processed on March 1st if you book a site on Lottery day. We are not charging a $150 deposit this year. We are not able to accept checks for Lottery signup.
Lottery Day is Saturday, February 4, 2017. We begin calling families at 8 a.m. Please be available to take a call in order to complete a reservation! We do call back within 10 minutes if we miss you on the first try, but after two calls, we won’t be able to call you back until the end of the day. We do not accept incoming calls.
Once you have completed a reservation on Lottery day, we will schedule the 50% payment for March 1st and send you a bill for the remaining 50%, due 6–8 weeks before your session.
All spaces that were not reserved in the Lottery are available in our online registration system on a first-come, first-served basis on February 17th. There is no deadline—you may register as long as sessions are open and available.
An Open Enrollment Reservation requires a 50% payment at the time of registration. The remaining balance will be billed 6–8 weeks prior to camp.
Signing Up With Other Families
During the Lottery, you may sign up to attend camp with up to two other families. All families must complete the online signup and include each other’s names where requested. Forms must match and include the party responsible for payment, as well as the party to be called on Lottery day.
When a family is called on Lottery Day, that family may reserve up to three cabins/sites, and the remaining families will not be called. Make sure that the family getting the call on Lottery day knows all of the sites and weeks that all families are comfortable with. To reserve as a group, you must register for the same week on Lottery day.
