Outdoor Sports Camps

Kids have fun in the fresh air learning about equipment and technique.

Climbing Camp

Entering grades 1 – 3 in fall

Weeks of June 15, July 6, July 13, July 27, August 17 and August 24

Entering grades 4 – 6 in fall

Weeks of June 8, June 22, June 29, July 20, August 3 and August 10 (No program July 3, fee prorated)

Member Participants: $295/week
Non-Member Program Participants: $320/week

Campers embark on a climbing adventure! Campers will gain new skills and self-confidence every day through a variety of climbing activities. Campers test their strength, strategy, and skill while learning safety procedures, belay techniques, knot tying and proper climbing techniques. Campers in grades 4-6 will get a chance to test their skills rock-climbing at Vertical Endeavors.

Outdoor Games Camp

Entering grades 1 – 3 in fall*

It’s all fun and games as campers learn to play a variety of outdoor games with a “camp style”. Campers learn to play Gaga, 9-square in the air, flag football, and other field games. This camp is designed to build self-esteem and teamwork through fun, engaging activities.

Archery Camp

Entering grades 4 – 6 in fall

Member Participants: $250/week
Non-Member Program Participants: $275/week

Weeks of June 15, June 29, July 6, July 27, August 17 and August 24 (No program July 3, fee prorated)

While learning the fundamentals of archery, campers examine equipment close up, identify the parts of the bow and arrow, and learn the science behind drawing the bow and releasing the arrow. Instructors teach proper grip, stance and aim alignment. Equipment is provided.

Field Trip: Campers get the chance to test their skills at A1 Archery.

Fishing Camp

Entering grades 4 – 6 in fall

Member Participants: $250/week
Non-Member Program Participants: $275/week

Weeks of June 22, July 6 and July 20

Kids get hooked on fishing as they learn basic fishing skills. The St. Croix River provides the scene for fishing fun using the catch-and-release method. Campers can bring their own pole and tackle, or equipment will be provided.

*Additional camp paperwork will be required for campers ages 4 – 6. The state of Wisconsin requires the Health History and Emergency Care Plan form, immunization record and signed waiver at camp. Forms can be found on our Forms & Publications page.
