I grew up in rural Minnesota in the big little town of Morris. I was a two sport athlete throughout high school in Football and Track. I attended college at NDSU in Fargo, ND, starting with a major in Music Education but after realizing how work-like the practicing and studying was, and then feeling and seeing that I worked out and ate healthy without even thinking about it, it became a no-brainer to switch over my major to Exercise Science for my B.S.
My favorite sport is football, but I have a lot of experience with running throughout high school, college and up to the present including a half-marathon in Fargo, ND. I have been training for over 3 years with plenty of experience in one-on-one training, along with semi-private and group training.
Recently, I used to weigh around 150 lbs. and was told by a boss of mine in December, 2015 that I could never get big and that I'm stuck at my size. About a year and a half later, I weighed in at (and am still at) 180 lbs. All of my major lifts went up significantly, and I had noticeable and positive changes in my arms, chest, hips and legs. Having heard "you can't" from someone was a big motivator for me and kept me going.
