Summit Orthopedics CEO Adam Berry

The YMCA is powered by volunteers who give their time and talent to help strengthen our communities. Among the Y’s thousands of volunteers are its community and general board members. These business and community leaders lend their expertise to help the Y continue to deliver programs and services to people of all ages and backgrounds. They are deeply engaged in their communities – and many give time in addition to their commitments as board members so all can thrive at the Y.

Summit Orthopedics CEO Adam Berry joined the YMCA of the North Board of Directors in 2016. Summit Orthopedics is one of the largest orthopedics groups in the Twin Cities and a close partner of the Y. Adam has already made an impact on the Y in many ways – most recently as a program volunteer.

A few weeks ago, Adam helped the Youth Intervention Services team carry the Y mission beyond the four walls of a traditional facility to impact young people facing barriers. YMCA Youth Intervention Services provides resources and support to youth in our community who are experiencing challenges such as homelessness or involvement in the juvenile justice system or foster care system. Adam worked with the team to pack move-in kits and write notes of encouragement for young people transitioning to independent living.

Thanks to dedicated volunteers like Adam, the Y can make an even deeper impact on our communities. To learn how you can get involved, visit ymcamn.org/volunteer.
