You can help address the housing needs of homeless youth by volunteering to host a young person in your home. The Communities Host Home Program connects young people with caring adults who are willing to provide safe housing and support.
Here’s how it works:
- Hosts provide a spare bedroom and food for the youth during a six- to 18-month stay
- Hosts and young people are supported through monthly meetings, ongoing trainings and support groups
- Young people work with case managers from Youth Intervention Services throughout
