How do you stay busy from September-May?
I’m finishing my senior year as a Human Development and Family Studies student and preparing for the final victory lap next year at University of Wisconsin Stout. I also coach with Menomonie Area Aquatics Club.

How long have you been involved with Warren?
I’ve been working with Warren for 3 wonderful years now, and can’t wait for the fourth to begin.

What activities are you involved in?
I’ve had the pleasure of working at the waterfront for swimming activity, and this summer I’ve been given the opportunity to work in the arts and crafts barn. Prepare to craft!

What age group do you work with?
I’ve worked with cubbies, intermediates, and seniors, but cubbies have a special place in my heart. At one point, I was a total newbie to Warren, and I love working with kids who are experiencing camp for the first time. There’s some real magic at this place.

What is one piece of advice you would give a first year camper?
Make sure you try something you never pictured yourself doing. Warren has a plethora of experiences and opportunities and is the perfect place to inch, or leap out of your comfort zone.

Why do you enjoy working at Warren?
Warren renews in me a sense of appreciation for nature, for others, and for myself. Warren’s mission is accomplished each year providing everyone involved with a transformational experience. No two summers are completely alike, and that’s the beauty of it.

Favorite camp song?
Pink Pajamas, but I also love facing Half Moon and belting out Low To The Ground

Favorite all camp game?
I’m a fan of all camp capture the flag. Devising ways to sneak to the other team’s side without getting caught will never lose its thrill.

Favorite Camp Counselor moment:
First days, last days, and the difference between are my favorites. It’s so great to see how much a camper grows, and even better when they come to recognize their own growth. Helping with that is a really rewarding experience.

Anything else we should know about?
Front row seats at kangaroo court, and corndogs, best meal, hands down.
