Bloomington, MN – The YMCA of the North, a leading nonprofit dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, will host a metro-wide Minnesota Vikings flag football tournament for 300 youth from ages 6 to 14 on Saturday, October 7 and Sunday, October 8. 

The event is the culmination of the eight-week season where participants engaged in sports programs at their local Ys. All teams will play on Saturday, with the Semi-Final/Championship games held on Sunday.

“YMCA sports are built on the idea that everyone has an opportunity to play,” said Glen Gunderson, president of the YMCA of the North.  “YMCA athletes come from all backgrounds to unite as a team and participants, develop lifelong friendships and engage in healthy, positive competition.”

Saturday, October 7 and Sunday, October 8 at 9 a.m.- 3 p.m.

*Medals awarded on Sunday, October 8 to the first, second and third place teams for each division (grades 1-2, 3-4, 5-8).
