Our programs for kids and teens promote wellness grounded in the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Sports

Kids learn teamwork and build skills through YMCA youth sports.

School Age Care

Our partnerships with local school districts offer before- and after-school care and school-release day options for kids in kindergarten through sixth grade at dozens of locations across the Twin Cities.

Summer Programs

For the summer, children in preschool through eighth grade can enjoy a variety of enrichment programs.

Day Camp Guy Robinson

Traditional day camp is located at Lake George Regional Park. Free busing available.

Arts and humanities classes

Encourage expression in creativity with enrichment classes for kids. These classes are only offered during select times throughout the year. Contact Member Services at 763-785-7882 for more info.

Birthday parties

We have everything you need for a hassle-free birthday party at the Y. Choose from two- and three-hour options that include fun and age-appropriate activities for kids.

Parents night out

Enjoy an evening out and we’ll take care of your children with engaging activities at the Y. Contact Member Services at 763-785-7882 for fees and upcoming dates. Early bird registration is due two weeks before the event date. Download waiver form.

Workout Child Care

When you come to work out at the Y, consider bringing your children along for the fun that awaits them at Kids Stuff, the Y’s child care program. Children ages six weeks to 10 years can participate in age-appropriate activities in a safe environment—free for members. Reservations aren’t required, and your child can enjoy Kids Stuff for up to two hours a day while you are in the building.

Homeschool P.E.

With YMCA Homeschool Physical Education, K-12 students learn the importance of healthy living through sports and aquatics activities—while having fun and meeting new friends. Students meet once a week for two hours in age-appropriate groups. Most session are ten weeks long and follow a comprehensive curriculum that includes SMART goals, instruction in two sports and time in the pool.

Teen Leadership

Special programming for teens in middle and high school is designed to help young people be healthy and active, build leadership skills and prepare for the future.
