Summer Power is a full-day enrichment program focused on quality, small group, age-appropriate activities. We provide a Healthy Living experience for kids by educating on healthy food choices and the right balance of physical activity. Kids stay motivated, entertained and are encouraged to make choices and exercise independent thinking. Special themes guide each week with a variety of activities including multiple field trips and special interest clubs – no two weeks are alike! Not only are the kids entertained and engaged, they’re learning new things, developing a healthy lifestyle and making new friends.
Some of the popular things your kids will enjoy every week are:
- Arts & Humanities
- Science Projects
- Health & Fitness
- Large-group Games
- Values-strengthening Activities
- Service Projects
- Water Activities
- Creative Spaces
The Y takes an active approach to reduce summer learning loss through incorporating science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) into our Summer Power activities.
